There are lots of ways to spend a Saturday morning – but here’s one that will do a lot of good, too.
Fun, non-athletic, our WALK for Life is a great opportunity for small groups, lunch bunches or study buddies to make a difference for a segment of our local community where the need is significant. Walk participants are encouraged register in advance and to engage friends and family as sponsors and contributors.
The Crossing provides life affirming help to women and men facing unplanned pregnancies. They offer free ultrasound exams at the Medical Clinic. The Earn While You Learn program teaches healthy parenting techniques and life skills which strengthen families.
As a local non-profit, The Crossing depends on the support of donors. A $100 contribution could provide 10 families with diapers, baby wipes and clothing. A $50 contribution keeps a door open to serve a new client needing help and guidance.
Dedicated to supporting our community, all of The Crossing’s services are free and confidential. Programs are designed to promote independence rather than entitlement.
Local participation can make a difference. Pledge to walk. Ask friends and family for their support. Find out more about helping to stock The Crossing’s pantry or boutique. Contact The Crossing for more information.
