The Crossing of Manitowoc County

About Us

The Crossing of Manitowoc County is a non-profit, Christian-based organization with a mission to provide emotional, educational, material, and spiritual support to clients, empowering them to become strong and resilient families.

Our programs are designed to serve both women and men facing pregnancy in the variety of situations presented in our community: teens and twenty-somethings, men and women, married and unmarried, first baby or fifth baby.

We offer a growing variety of services to meet our changing client needs, including a medical clinic that provides free limited obstetrical ultrasound examinations. All of our services are free, confidential and non-judgmental. Our goal is to help clients make an informed decision by helping them to understand what they are feeling and what their options are.

The Crossing is so grateful to The Nash Foundation, Manitowoc Sunrise Rotary, Maritime Ford and Advocate Aurora Health for their generous donation towards our Babies Ride Safe Program. This program provides convertible car seats that grow with the child from rear facing harness (4-50 lbs.) to front facing harness (22-65 lbs.).

Testimonials

“I was worried I was pregnant. I didn’t know how to take care of a baby. In conversations with my counselor, I realized I was coerced by my adult boyfriend. My parents were unaware of this whole situation. I decided to come to The Crossing. With my counselor, I talked about sexual purity, freedom and ownership of my body.  It turned out I wasn’t pregnant. My counselor helped me talk to my parents and alert authorities about my situation.  I’m now on a path to recovery and beginning a new life.”
