About Us

Our Program

At The Crossing, we believe that every child deserves a healthy family, and that starts with the right support. Using The 5 Protective Factors approach, our program is designed to empower you as a parent and help you build a strong, nurturing foundation for your family. Through our education program, Earn While You Learn (EWYL), we offer knowledge, skills, and resources in a way that meets you where you are on your parenting journey.

Our program utilizes The 5 Protective Factors, a research-based framework that reduces adverse childhood experiences, promoting healthier families and communities. Here’s how we support each of these factors:

-Parental Resilience: We equip you with the education, skills, and support needed to navigate challenges, reduce stress, and build healthier relationships.

-Social Connections: We encourage your connection through support groups, mentorship, and peer interactions, helping you build a community of understanding and support.

-Concrete Support in Times of Need: From baby wipes to prenatal support and referrals, we provide the essential resources you need to overcome barriers.

-Knowledge of Parenting and Child Development: Our EWYL program empowers you with knowledge about child development, helping you nurture strong, healthy relationships with your children.

-Social and Emotional Competence of Children: Through perinatal support and early literacy lessons, we teach you techniques to foster emotional understanding, empathy, and communication within your family.
